The BENEFIT-Med Project Local Final Meeting – PRIMA Projects Dissemination and Networking Day was organized within the framework of the project BENEFIT-Med at the University of Sfax. This event was held on November 20th, 2025, at the Occidental Hotel in Sfax. The day was dedicated to reviewing the scientific, technical, and socio-economic progress achieved throughout the project in the field of innovative technologies for orphan legumes, with the aim of strengthening the resilience of Mediterranean agricultural systems. The opening session featured speeches from prominent figures, including Prof. Chedly Abdelly (Director General, National Agency for Scientific Research Promotion), Prof. Anis Jarboui (Vice-President, University of Sfax), Mme Sayda Rafrafi (Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research: Tunisian PRIMA Funding Agency), Mr. Tark Jarrahi (National Institute of Field Crops), and Prof. Mondher Ben Jemaa (Faculty of Sciences). These addresses underscored the strategic importance of PRIMA-funded initiatives in advancing sustainable agriculture and fostering regional collaboration in Tunisia. The event warmly welcomed researchers, farmers, and other stakeholders, setting a collaborative tone for the PRIMA Projects Dissemination and Networking Day. The final session concluded with discussions to promote ongoing regional collaboration among researchers, farmers, policymakers, and economic stakeholders, aiming for sustainable adaptation to climate and socio-economic challenges in Mediterranean agriculture. This day was therefore representing a key moment for networking, exchange, and collective momentum to strengthen synergies among researchers, farmers, policymakers, and economic actors in addressing agricultural and climate challenges in the region.
